Spiritual Care
Spiritual Care at Concordia Place is reflective of our core value, compassion and respect. Our Chaplain visits and supports our Residents and their loved ones with the goal of making Concordia Place feel like home. Our Chaplain is respectful of everyone’s beliefs, values, and religious or spiritual background.
We offer the following services:
- Helping new residents integrate into our Concordia Place community
- Listening with empathy and understanding
- Life review, encouragement, prayer and inspirational readings
- Grief support at times of transition and loss
- Arranging services, rituals, sacraments and ceremonies respecting one’s beliefs
- Assisting residents and their loved ones with ethical issues and decision making
The Concordia Place Chapel (on main floor)
- Open 24 hours each day for prayer and reflection
- Interdenominational service, Tuesdays at 10:45 a.m.
- Roman Catholic Mass, third Friday of each month at 11:00 a.m.
- Bible Studies/Spiritual Reflections on the floors
- Sunday services at 2:00 pm that are led by churches from the community
Aboriginal Healing Ceremonies
A sacred space is available weekdays on the ground floor of the hospital
